One of the challenges my clients have is to clearly explain what they do.
Imagine a Craniosacral therapist saying, well, I put my hands over your head and feel the flow and bring it back into balance.
Or a Reiki practitioner explain how sacred symbols can help you heal.
Can you give a 10 second introduction that clearly defines what you specialize in and why clients should come to see you? If not, take some time now to write out and practice your introduction. Keep it simple without any industry jargon. If you can find a ten year old kid explain what you do to them and then have them explain it back to you. If they can’t, your explanation is too complicated.
Yes! This is so important, yet so elusive. I think the problem is that people don’t like to hear their beloved systems carved down to 10 seconds. No matter how I do this task, I’m highly likely to leave out HUGE amounts of information about what it is I actually do… so this might prevent me from doing the exercise at all… but it shouldn’t!
