Holding Back. Again.

Oh why is it sometimes so hard to just listen to the small voice inside?

You know the one, it gently nudges us, suggesting ways to continue forward. It will tell us which way to turn and which path to choose.

The advice is right on. I just don’t always follow through.

I expect big sweeping directives, instead what I hear is ‘ take a walk’, or ‘write to my mother’.

My inner teacher is talking, but I’m not always listening.
