Healing with Love - An Exceptional Practioner

by MichelleVan on July 23, 2007

The most amazing practitioner I ever met was a simple family guy who studied his craft of homeopathy passionately and excessively. He didn’t pretend to have all the answers, and never promised to heal anyone. What he did have was compassion, understanding for the client and a quest for knowledge.

Most of all he listened.

I’ve known hundreds of holistic practitioners, and the best ones all have the same things in common. They connect with their clients, make eye contact and really listen to understand what might be happening under the surface.

The greatest of all healers he had a lot in his personal toolbox. He used, and had extensive knowledge of Chinese medicine, Herbs, Homeopathy, EAV, Acupuncture and much more. The thing that amazed me though was people would heal just being in his presence. He didn’t need to be in his clinic, or have access to the many testing and diagnostic devices he had at his disposal.

He could look into your eyes, see that you were hurting, and embrace you with love.

You’d probably leave his office with a variety of protocols and remedies. But it was his love for humankind that healed.

Something we all have access to.

I miss you Spencer.

Note: I started this post with a list of seven attributes exceptional practitioners have. This is what came out. Maybe I’ll work on that post another time. For more information about my own healing journey and Spencer, you can read it on the American Institute of Holistic Theology, where part of my healing journey was published. For some reason, I haven’t been visiting your site although I’m sure I knew about it. Very strange because we have concordant interests! I’ve subscribed to the feed!

Regarding this post - what a wonderful story. It’s funny how few people work on their people skills while they’re in school to be medical professionals. Yet this is the greatest thing we can learn.

Thanks for your great work.

Eric, Thanks for visiting. You’ve got a great site as well……I like to say that healing comes from love first, technology and skills second. That is what Spencer did for me.
